The Other 18 Nominees

None of the other 18 has a single-player card sale above $6,900 at the two auction houses. The closest are Declan Rice, whose Topps UEFA Club Competitions Ultimate Stage Chrome autograph SuperFractor sold for $6,863 at Goldin in April 2026, and João Neves, whose 2023-24 Select FIFA Black Prizm 1/1 sold for $4,819 at Goldin in September 2025. Defenders and holding midfielders, including Rodri, William Saliba and Marquinhos, have thinner card markets than most of the names above them.

How to Read These Prices

1/1s drive the top. All 12 top sales are cards numbered 1/1 or to 10. A player's base cards trade at a small fraction of these prices.

Check the paid status. Fanatics Collect marks some results as unpaid, and those can fall through. Messi's $960,000 rookie result from September 2025 is still unpaid, so it is not ranked here.

Compare like with like. A PSA 10 rookie and a 1/1 parallel are different markets. Our most valuable soccer cards guide ranks the all-time grails across players.
