Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek prerelease events run at local game stores from November 6 to 12, 2026, and the set releases on November 13, with Play Boosters at $6.99 and Collector Boosters at $37.99, per Wizards of the Coast. Some Commander decks, bundles and Collector Boosters will land later in some regions, per Wizards' delay notice updated November 5. It arrives on MTG Arena on November 10. Here are every price, every date and what you get at a prerelease.
Release Dates
Per Wizards:
- Prerelease events: November 6 to 12, 2026
- MTG Arena: November 10, 2026
- Global tabletop release: November 13, 2026
- MagicCon: Atlanta and World Championship 32: November 13 to 15, 2026
Every Product and Its Price
Wizards lists these US MSRPs (collecting article, October 20, 2026):
- Play Booster: $6.99
- Collector Booster: $37.99
- Commander Deck: $74.99
- Collector's Edition Commander Deck: $159.99
- Bundle: $69.99
- Beam Me Up Bundle: $99.99
- Draft Night: $119.99
- Scene Box: $41.99
Collector Boosters come 12 packs of 15 cards to a display, per ICv2. The Beam Me Up Bundle holds 8 Play Boosters, 1 Collector Booster and 2 of the 8 traditional foil Beam Me Up promo cards (Spacecraft drawn as ship schematics), and each of the two Scene Boxes holds 6 traditional foil new-to-Magic scene cards, 3 Play Boosters and 6 art cards, per Wizards.
Not every product ships on November 13. As of Wizards' November 5 update, North American Bundles and Scene Boxes arrive after Prerelease, Draft Night and the Beam Me Up Bundle after release, and Commander decks may arrive after release. Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on time everywhere. Our Star Trek delays story has every region.
What Is in the Prerelease Pack
Each Prerelease Pack contains, per the prerelease guide:
- 6 Play Boosters
- 1 traditional foil promo card
- 1 deck box
- 1 Spindown die
You build a 40-card sealed deck from it plus basic lands. Wizards' Where to Play page (October 28) said participating WPN stores would sell the full lineup at Prerelease, but its November 5 delay update moves North American Bundles and Scene Boxes to after Prerelease, so ask your store what is in stock.

The Collectible Treatments to Know
Per Wizards:
- Signed cards: 7 different signed cards with fewer than 250 copies of each, only in Collector Boosters of any language, always printed in English. Our signed Headliner cards story covers them.
- Stardates: 30 borderless reprints. Non-foil in Play and Collector Boosters, traditional foil only in Collector Boosters.
- LCARS: 7 uncommon, 14 rare and 8 mythic rare LCARS frame cards, plus 10 rare LCARS shock lands. Surge foil versions only in Collector Boosters.
- Klingon script: Klingon-language versions of the 10 Klingon frame cards, only in Collector Boosters and only in traditional foil.
- Classic Enterprise: 5 uncommon, 13 rare and 6 mythic rare cards, surge foil only in Collector Boosters.
Events and Promos After Release
Per Wizards' Where to Play page (October 28, 2026):
- Commander Party: November 20 to 26, 2026 and January 15 to 21, 2027, with Munitions Enthusiast or Highly Illogical promos
- Standard Showdown: November 13, 2026 to January 28, 2027, with up to two extended-art promos (Burst Lightning, Deep Space Scan) for top finishers, and each store sets its own prize structure
- World Championship 32: a little over 100 players compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool at MagicCon: Atlanta, where tickets are sold out
- Encounter the Unknown: a non-foil extended-art promo for players in Star Trek events at MagicCon: Atlanta (while supplies last, PTQs and LTQs excluded) and at select Magic side events at PAX Unplugged, December 4 to 6
What It Means for Collectors
The chase cards live in Collector Boosters: the signed cards, Klingon script and the surge foil LCARS and Enterprise versions are not in Play Boosters at all. Our take: if you want to play, start with the Prerelease Pack this week, since Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are the only products Wizards lists as on time everywhere. If you want a specific signed card or Klingon script foil, buy the single. Each signed card has fewer than 250 copies and comes only from Collector Boosters, so ripping for one is a long shot. The Beginner Box was canceled in every region in September.
