Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek includes seven hand-signed headliner cards, with fewer than 250 copies of each, randomly inserted into Collector Boosters, Wizards of the Coast said on October 20, 2026. That caps the signed cards at under 1,750 copies across the whole set. Some coverage says 250 or 200 of each, but Wizards' wording is fewer than 250. The set releases on November 13, with Prerelease events from November 6.

The Seven Signed Cards

Each card pairs a portrait of the character with the actor's autograph. Signers are per ICv2 and TrekCore, and artists are per Scryfall:

Captain James T. Kirk

  • Signed by William Shatner, art by Chris Rallis

Captain Jean-Luc Picard

  • Signed by Patrick Stewart, art by Irvin Rodriguez

Mr. Spock, Science Officer

  • Signed by Ethan Peck, art by Gal Or. ICv2's list leaves this signer out, but TrekCore names Peck among the seven actors and the render on Wizards' product page carries his signature

Lieutenant Commander Data

  • Signed by Brent Spiner, art by Tyler Jacobson

Captain Kathryn Janeway

  • Signed by Kate Mulgrew, art by Lie Setiawan

Seven of Nine, Unassimilated

  • Signed by Jeri Ryan, art by Jack Hughes

Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge

  • Signed by LeVar Burton, art by Tyler Jacobson

"It's unlike anything we've done before for Magic," Wizards' Zakeel Gordon and Jubilee Finnegan wrote of the signed cards in the October 20 article.

How to Find One

Collector Boosters only

  • Signed cards do not appear in Play Boosters. Wizards says one appears "in an extremely low quantity" of Collector Boosters and gives no rate. The Beam Me Up Bundle and Draft Night each include one Collector Booster

Any language

  • A signed card can turn up in a Collector Booster of any language, but the card itself is always in English

English, French and German Collector Boosters may arrive after November 13 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Collector Boosters may also arrive late in Asia-Pacific, Wizards said in an October 16 notice. Our report on the Star Trek product delays lists what may be late.

What Else Collectors Are Chasing

The set also has 10 LCARS shock lands and 30 borderless Stardates reprints, per Wizards. Star Trek fans have a separate release too: our Secret Lair Star Trek Superdrop guide covers the five drops revealed so far, with a sixth still to come, on sale November 9.

Our take: fewer than 250 of each, spread across Collector Boosters of every language, is a thin supply. With Collector Boosters running late in several regions, early sales may not be a clean read on the market. Do not assume any price until real sales exist. Our most expensive trading cards list tracks Magic's recorded top sales.
