Konami's new Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Forbidden & Limited List, the October 2026 ban list, makes 34 cards newly Forbidden and 8 newly Limited (one of them from November 11), plus one newly Semi-Limited card, with the list effective October 19, 2026, per the five announcements on Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Event Coverage blog and Konami's card database list. The list was revealed in parts during YCS Houston from October 16 to 18, ahead of the Magnificent Maestros release. Called by the Grave, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon are among the cards now Forbidden, and Droll & Lock Bird drops from two copies to one.

The 34 Newly Forbidden Cards

Listed in the order Konami revealed them. Ten were already Limited before October 19, per Konami's database: Called by the Grave, Anti-Spell Fragrance, Cupsy★Yummy Way, Gozen Match, Rivalry of Warlords, There Can Be Only One, Elfnote Tinia, Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi, Crossout Designator and Triple Tactics Talent. The other 24 go straight from three copies to zero. Part 3 is spelled as in Konami's database (the blog post reads "Sayuja").

Part 1 (October 16)

  • Amorphage Goliath, Amorphage Sloth, Aerial Eater, Albion the Branded Dragon, Zenna's Deceiving Doll Maidens, Called by the Grave

Part 2 (October 17)

  • Charmer Quartet in Bloom, Beelze of the Diabolic Dragons, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier, XX-Saber Gottoms, D/D/D Wave High King Caesar, Secret Village of the Spellcasters, Anti-Spell Fragrance

Part 3 (October 17)

  • Pharaonic Advent, Cross-Sheep, Saryuja Skull Dread, Cupsy★Yummy Way, Gozen Match, Rivalry of Warlords, There Can Be Only One

Part 4 (October 18)

  • Magicians' Souls, Spell Canceller, Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, F.A. Dawn Dragster, Naturia Beast, Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir, Number 60: Dugares the Timeless

Part 5 (October 18)

  • Elfnote Tinia, Azamina Ilia Silvia, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Ame no Habakiri no Mitsurugi, Varudras, the Final Bringer of the End Times, Crossout Designator, Triple Tactics Talent

Newly Limited and Semi-Limited

Newly Limited (8)

  • Droll & Lock Bird (was Semi-Limited)
  • Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon (effective November 11, upon release in Magnificent Maestros, per Konami)
  • Branded Opening
  • Toon Bookmark, Toon Table of Contents
  • Griffoh, Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max
  • Branded in High Spirits (was Semi-Limited)

Newly Semi-Limited (1)

No card moved to a looser status. Konami's database shows no cards leaving the list.

What It Means for Collectors

Konami did not explain individual hits. Its only framing came in an October 14 post on X, reported by YGOrganization, saying the update was coming "to prep for Magnificent Maestros." The five reveal posts list the cards and nothing else, and Konami's Part 5 post on October 18 closed with "Get your Deck ready for a changed Dueling landscape starting October 19th!"

Check the official list before an event. Konami's card database list showed the new list on October 19, 2026, with every change above except Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon, which joins on November 11. The Deck Construction Rules page still pointed to the September 21 list that day.

Our take: binders and Decks are different questions. A Forbidden card is out of Advanced Format, the standard tournament format, from October 19 (Traditional Format still allows one copy), but it still sits in your collection. If you build Decks, rework anything running Called by the Grave or Droll & Lock Bird before your next local. Wondering what your collection is worth instead? Where to Go From Here

A ban list changes what gets played, not what you can collect. If you want to collect real, vaulted cards, the Polkastarter marketplace gives you a free mystery pack when you sign up, and every Lootbox lists its contents, values, and chances before you open.
