Some of LeBron James' 24th-Season Jersey Patches Will Become 1-of-1 Cards

LeBron James will wear a 24th-season jersey patch throughout the 2026-27 NBA season, and Topps says certain of those game-worn patches will be placed into 1-of-1 trading cards, per its October 20, 2026 post as published by SI Collectibles. The patch marks his record 24th NBA season, his first with the Philadelphia 76ers. Topps ran a similar program for the second half of his 23rd season.

How the 23rd-Season Program Worked

Topps announced a "23 NBA Seasons" patch on January 12, 2026, and LeBron debuted it that night in Sacramento, where he played his first NBA game, per Sports Collectors Digest. Topps said each patch would be removed by the team's equipment manager, dated and filmed, then sent to its facility in Dallas, authenticated by CGC and put into a trading card, per SI Collectibles on January 15, 2026.

The Record Behind It

LeBron is playing a record-extending 24th NBA season after joining the 76ers, per Reuters on July 24, 2026. The previous record for seasons played was Vince Carter's 22, per SI Collectibles. He made his 76ers debut on October 20 against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, the day Topps announced the patch. The 76ers won 106-100, per ESPN's box score.

What the 23rd-Season Cards Tell Us

We found no public sale of a 23rd-season patch card at Fanatics Collect or Goldin as of October 23, 2026. A related LeBron 1/1 for context is a different card: a 2025 Topps NOW "King James Sets Record With 23rd Season" Foilfractor autograph, numbered 1/1, sold for $156,000, including buyer's premium, at Fanatics Collect on July 24, 2026.

Our take: count the 1-of-1s before you chase one. Topps has not said how many of the 24th-season patches will become cards, only that some will. Each card comes from one game, so the game date is the detail to check when one appears. For LeBron's biggest card sales, see our list of the most expensive basketball cards, and for a three-signature LeBron card, the Jordan, LeBron and Kobe triple autograph that sold for $671,000 at Goldin on October 17, 2026.
