Disney Lorcana Hyperia City Reveals Coco Cards and Ink Drops

Disney Lorcana's Hyperia City now has a clearer collector identity: Coco characters, new city-themed artwork and an ink-drop mechanic. Ravensburger's September 22, 2026 announcement says prerelease events begin October 16 at game stores and select Disney Parks and stores, with wider availability October 23. Those are two different stages. Neither should be described as a product already on shelves today.

Coco Enters the City, With Specific Cards Now Visible

The official Hyperia City product page shows cards connected to Disney and Pixar's Coco, including Miguel Rivera as a street musician, Héctor Rivera and Pepita. It also shows a Land of the Dead location tied to the Marigold District's visual theme. That is more useful than a broad “Coco is coming” teaser because collectors can inspect actual named images before deciding which characters or illustrations interest them.

Ravensburger also names Mickey Mouse, Cinderella and Big Hero 6 glimmers in the September announcement. The two Iconic cards it discusses are Mickey Mouse, Best in Town, and Cinderella, Unintentional Icon. The company had shown Mickey earlier at D23, so do not call every image a first reveal. A full chase ranking or future market price would be speculation at this stage.

What Ink Drops Actually Do

Ravensburger describes ink drops as counters that provide one-time-use ink. Players can spend them to play cards from hand or, depending on card text, empower other cards. That is a mechanic explanation, not a statement about pack odds or how many ink-drop cards are in a box. The official product gallery is the right place to inspect individual card text as more entries appear.

For a collector, the mechanic matters because it gives the new artwork a role beyond its theme. Still, a card's play function and its physical finish are separate questions. Match the exact named card and treatment in the official gallery before comparing a listing, especially if an image is cropped or a seller calls every striking print “Iconic.”

October's Two Dates Answer Different Questions

October 16, 2026 is the announced prerelease start at participating game stores and select Disney locations. October 23 is the wider availability date. A prerelease venue is not the same as a guaranteed product allocation or a promise that every retailer will carry every item. Ravensburger's product page lists booster products and an Illumineer's Trove, but local stock and any participation rules need to be checked with the actual store.

The wider Disney Lorcana line has other events, such as the Paris Collection Quest, but its three-card promo route is a different event with different eligibility.
