Reality Fracture has regional product delays, not a blanket postponement of the Magic set. In its September 11, 2026 update, Wizards says Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs remain on schedule in all regions. Other formats face different delays, so the useful question is which product you ordered and where it is being delivered.

Start With the Product, Then the Region

Wizards' official delay notice keeps Prerelease events on September 25 and the tabletop release on October 2. It warns that some affected products may arrive after those dates.

North America: the notice identifies Omega Collector Boosters, the single Collector Boosters sold at larger retailers, as delayed. It separately points to an earlier warning about potentially tight Play Booster supply after release.

Asia-Pacific: Collector Boosters, Bundles and Reality Fracture Commander decks may arrive after release. Foundations Commander decks are not included in that delay.

Europe, the Middle East and Africa: Collector Booster availability is constrained around release, and Secret Lair Bundles are delayed.

Japan: the notice says all products are currently on schedule.

Latin America: Secret Lair Bundles are delayed, with other products on schedule.

These are September 11 statements checked September 14, not permanent shipping guarantees. Wizards says the situation is fluid and directs collectors to local retailers.

Tight Supply Is a Different Claim From a Changed Release Date

The earlier Play Booster supply notice is relevant to North America. Read it alongside the newer regional notice rather than collapsing both into the claim that every box is late.

A product can retain its release date while stock is limited. Another format can arrive late even while organised play proceeds. Neither situation tells you the delivery date of a particular retailer's order.

That distinction matters if you planned to open something at an event. Ask whether the item is physically expected for your booking and whether any substitute is being offered. Do not treat a generic release banner as confirmation of your exact order.

Check the Order You Actually Placed

Find the full product name on the confirmation. Collector Booster, Play Booster, Bundle and Commander deck are not interchangeable labels. Check the seller's market and dispatch estimate too, especially with imported products.

An imported box may be handled through a different distribution route from a local store's stock. That does not make it better or worse automatically, but it changes which promise you need the seller to explain.

Keep logistics separate from play legality too. Our Zeta Pauper legality report covers a rules decision, a different kind of announcement from this shipping update.

Do Not Pay a Scarcity Premium on a Vague Claim

The notice is evidence of a distribution problem. It is not a forecast of secondary-market prices or a declaration that an affected product will never be supplied.

If a seller cites the delay to justify a premium, compare the specific format and region with the official notice. A correct claim about one product does not establish scarcity for another.

Also distinguish a preorder from stock ready to dispatch. Read the seller's terms and ask for clarification when the listing language does not make that distinction. This article does not promise a refund right or shipping deadline for a particular order.

Keep Launch Plans Flexible Without Rebuying the Same Thing

For play, check the local event's actual plan. For a sealed collection, decide whether the exact edition matters more than receiving it at the first possible moment. Buying a substitute in a hurry can leave you with two purchases and neither matching the original goal.

The useful update to keep is the official regional notice. Recheck it near your expected dispatch date, since a screenshot from this week can outlive the situation it describes.
