Pokémon Reveals Nine Regional Card Binders for October 16

Pokémon has revealed nine Collection File Premium binders spanning Kanto through Paldea, scheduled for Japan on October 16, 2026. The official September 25 announcement lists each binder at ¥2,420, with matching refill products at ¥700, tax included. Pokémon Center Online sales are scheduled to start at 10 a.m. Japan time that day.

A Regional Collection for the Shelf

The covers organize the range by region. Two names deserve attention when matching a listing: one binder combines Sinnoh and Hisui, while the Alola binder also names Meltan and Melmetal. The separately sold refill names are not identical in every case, so compare the actual product rather than buying by a shortened seller title.

The English product summary lists the complete lineup. A collector following one region can choose that cover without treating the whole range as a required purchase.

These designs can support a regional collection, but they do not define it. One card for each Pokémon, every artwork of a favourite character and a full expansion are three different projects. The illustration on a cover cannot tell you which of those projects will fit inside.

Ten Sheets Included, Twenty Sheets Maximum

Pokémon describes a four-hole, nine-pocket system. The binder includes an index sheet and ten card refill sheets, and supports up to twenty refill sheets. The separate refill product contains an index sheet and ten blank refill sheets.

That leaves room for ten additional sheets under the stated limit. It does not establish a universal card capacity for every storage method. Avoid assuming that each pocket should hold two cards or that every sleeve thickness will fit comfortably.

Check the actual sleeve and pocket fit before filling the binder. A page that closes neatly while empty can behave differently once loaded. The useful question is whether your chosen storage method fits the announced hardware, not simply whether the cover matches your favourite Pokémon.

Do Not Confuse This With a Booster Bundle

This announcement concerns storage accessories. It should not be mixed up with similarly named anniversary collections that package binders alongside booster packs.

Check the item name and included contents on the exact listing. A reseller's phrase “30th anniversary binder” is too broad to identify whether you are buying this regional file, a different licensed accessory or a packaged TCG product.

The Release Is for Japan

The announced channels are Pokémon Center stores and Pokémon Center Online in Japan. Other outlets may carry the accessories later, but the announcement is not confirmation of an international release.

An import listing adds another layer. Confirm whether its price includes the binder, refills or both, and check delivery costs and timing independently. A Japanese launch date is not an arrival promise for an overseas order.

Stock and purchase limits can vary. There is no need to turn a limited initial allocation into an unsupported claim about the total production run.

Give the Binder a Clear Job

A regional binder can be appealing on the shelf and useful at the table. Those are reasons to compare it thoughtfully, not evidence that buying the full lineup will preserve or increase its value.
