Some Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek Commander decks, Collector Boosters and bundles may arrive after the set's November 13, 2026 release, Wizards of the Coast said in a delay notice on October 16, 2026. Wizards blamed "production and shipping issues" and said the delays vary by region. Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on schedule: "Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on track for availability during Prerelease and release events," the notice says.

What Is Late, Region by Region

Per the Wizards notice of October 16, 2026, these products may arrive after Prerelease (November 6) or after the tabletop release (November 13):

North America

  • Commander decks: after the tabletop release

Europe, Middle East and Africa

  • Collector Boosters (English, French, German): after the tabletop release
  • Commander decks (French, German): after Prerelease
  • Collector's Edition Commander decks: after Prerelease, with more arriving after the tabletop release
  • Commander decks (English), Draft Night, Scene Boxes and Beam Me Up Bundles: after the tabletop release

Asia-Pacific

  • Collector Boosters, Omega Collector Boosters (single Collector Boosters sold at larger retailers), Bundles, Beam Me Up Bundles and Draft Night: after the tabletop release
  • Scene Boxes in New Zealand: after the tabletop release

On track everywhere

  • Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs

As of October 18, 2026, the notice lists no delays for Japan or Latin America.

Wizards says the timing may still change and it will post updates on the same page, so check with your store before Prerelease.

The Set at a Glance

From Wizards' Collecting Magic: The Gathering | Star Trek: A First Look article, checked October 18, 2026:

Dates

  • Prerelease events: November 6 to 12, 2026
  • MTG Arena: November 10, 2026
  • Global tabletop release: November 13, 2026

US prices (MSRP, per Wizards)

  • Play Booster $6.99, Collector Booster $37.99
  • Commander Deck $74.99, Collector's Edition Commander Deck $159.99
  • Bundle $69.99, Beam Me Up Bundle $99.99, Draft Night $119.99, Scene Box $41.99

The chase

  • Seven signed cards, about 250 copies of each, every one signed by a Star Trek actor, per Wizards

For collectors, the big one is the Collector Booster delay (English, French and German in Europe, all Collector Boosters in Asia-Pacific). Per Wizards, the signed cards appear only in Collector Boosters, in any language. Beam Me Up Bundles and Draft Night each include one Collector Booster, and both are also delayed in those regions.

Not the First Star Trek Supply Problem

This set has had a rough run before launch. In September, Wizards canceled the Star Trek Beginner Box in every region, as covered in our story on the canceled Star Trek Beginner Box. And the previous set, Reality Fracture, had its own regional delay notice, first posted on September 11, 2026, with an editor's note added on September 28 for Mexico.

Our take: buy what you will open at Prerelease, then wait. Play Boosters and Prerelease Packs are on time. If you planned a Commander deck for release weekend in North America, Europe, the Middle East or Africa, or a Collector Booster box in Europe or Asia-Pacific, it may arrive late. Ask your store whether a delayed preorder is held or refundable before paying in full. For more on where Magic's booster design is heading, see our story on Magic's 2027 booster changes.
