Same 1st Edition Houndoom PSA 10 Sells for $144,000, Then $299,000 Five Days Later

A 1st Edition Neo Revelation Houndoom #8 in PSA 10 sold for $299,000 as a Fanatics Collect Buy Now on October 16, 2026, five days after the same slab sold for $144,000 in a Fanatics Collect weekly auction. Both lot pages carry PSA cert 27216802, and Fanatics Collect's sold items records list both sales as paid. That is $155,000 more in five days for one card.

  • $144,000 after 31 bids in Fanatics Collect's weekly auction closing October 11, 2026 (Pacific time). That is a $120,000 hammer plus Fanatics Collect's 20% buyer's premium

Second sale

  • $299,000 as a fixed-price Buy Now on October 16, 2026. Buy Now purchases carry no buyer's premium, so the jump from hammer to Buy Now price is $120,000 to $299,000

How many exist

The records show the price, not the people. They do not say who sold or bought either time, so we can't tell you whether the October 11 winner was the Buy Now seller.

Houndoom Joins the Neo Revelation Run

This is not a one-card story. Before 2026, the best paid 1st Edition Neo Revelation PSA 10 in Fanatics Collect's sold records was a Shining Gyarados at $21,600 in December 2025. Since September 2026, these sold:

At $299,000, the Houndoom is the third-highest paid Neo Revelation 1st Edition PSA 10 in those records, behind Misdreavus and Entei.

What It Means for Collectors

Our take: the Buy Now is the number to watch. An auction price comes from bidders competing on one night. A $299,000 fixed price means one buyer paid the asking price outright, five days after 31 bids stopped at $144,000.

The old comps no longer apply. Before October, the last 1st Edition Houndoom PSA 10 in Fanatics Collect's records sold for $2,880 in December 2023, and the highest was $16,000 as a Buy Now in April 2021 on PWCC, now Fanatics Collect. The closest recent comp is an Unlimited PSA 10 that went for $120,000 after 46 bids in a Fanatics Collect weekly auction on September 13, 2026, per the same records.

Check the edition and the cert. PSA labels 1st Edition copies as such, and the Unlimited Houndoom is a different card, with 11 in PSA 10 against 29 for the 1st Edition, per the lot pages.
