Santa Cruz x Pokémon TCG Skate Decks Drop October 17: 30 Designs, 3 Gold Chase Decks

Santa Cruz Skateboards and the Pokémon TCG will release 30 skate decks printed with original Pokémon card art on October 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. UK time, according to Santa Cruz's collaboration page. Santa Cruz's own announcement puts that at 9 a.m. ET and 6 a.m. PT. The decks come in randomized blind bags, and the official packaging says to look for three gold chase decks. Here is what is confirmed, what is not, and how the 2023 collaboration went.
What Is in the Santa Cruz x Pokémon TCG Collection
Per Santa Cruz's page and the official bag artwork:
- 30 deck designs, each featuring Pokémon TCG card art, with new deck designs built around themes like Energy types
- 3 gold chase decks, covered in collages of Pokémon cards, as printed on the official bag artwork ("Look for 3 gold chase decks!"). Driftzine and Resell Calendar report each chase design is capped at 500 copies worldwide, against 50 for each of 2023's five gold decks
- Blind bags: each deck comes sealed in a randomized bag with a limited edition Player's Guide booklet showing all 30 designs and the 3 chase variants
- Apparel and griptape in the same collection
The official images show Base Set Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise on three of the decks, and the bag artwork on Santa Cruz's page calls the line "30 unique skateboard decks featuring the most iconic Pokémon trading cards!" The fine print adds that no Pokémon trading card is included in the bag.

Release Time, Where to Buy and Price
- Date and time: October 17, 2026, at 2 p.m. UK and 3 p.m. CET, per Santa Cruz's European page. Santa Cruz's announcement, reported by Shredder, gives the same moment as 6 a.m. PT and 9 a.m. ET
- Where: at skate shops worldwide, per that announcement. Santa Cruz's page points buyers to a local stockist search. Resell Calendar reports no online sale has been confirmed
- Price: not announced as of October 6, 2026. The 2023 blind bags sold for $110, per Driftzine
Santa Cruz has not published how often each design or chase deck appears.
How the 2023 Collaboration Went
This is Santa Cruz's second Pokémon blind-bag collection, per Driftzine and Resell Calendar. The first launched on September 13, 2023, with 20 designs, including five gold foil decks, and sold out in under five minutes, per Driftzine.
What is new this time is the card art. Santa Cruz's announcement, reported by Shredder on October 3, calls this the first time Pokémon TCG card art has been featured on a skateboard, with 30 card variants for 30 years of the trading card game. Sole Retriever reported the same on October 5.
Our take: the 2023 bags sold out in under five minutes, and Resell Calendar reports that Santa Cruz has not confirmed an online sale this time, so your local skate shop is the realistic route. Call ahead about launch-day limits. If you want one specific design rather than a random bag, buying that deck as a single after release is the only way to be sure you get it.
