1st Edition Charizard PSA 10 Closes at $1.38 Million at Fanatics Collect
A 1999 Pokémon Base Set 1st Edition Shadowless Charizard #4 graded PSA 10 closed at $1,380,000 after 44 bids in the Fanatics Collect October Premier Auction, at 12:36 a.m. Pacific on October 23, 2026, per Fanatics Collect's sold records. That is a $1,150,000 winning bid plus the 20% buyer's premium. The same slab, PSA cert 21506649, sold for $480,000 at Fanatics Collect in March 2026.

What the Number Means
If it is paid, $1,380,000 would be the highest price for a 1st Edition Charizard PSA 10 in either Fanatics Collect's or Goldin's records, ahead of the $954,800 Goldin sale in February 2026. It is not the highest reported price this month, though: Vice reported on October 9, 2026 that another 1st Edition PSA 10 Charizard sold for $1,385,274, citing collector Jeremy Padawer. Until it is paid, October's Fanatics result is a closing price, not a completed sale. Unpaid results can fall through: cert 14914141 closed at $300,000 at Fanatics Collect on June 26, 2025, is still marked unpaid, and the same slab sold again for $456,000 in April 2026.
Our take: the jump is the story, and the check is the payment. A slab that traded at $480,000 in March drew 44 bids up to $1.15 million seven months later.
