Palworld Cards Get a Second Edition: The Tiny II Collectors Must Check
Palworld collectors now have two different restocks to track. In a September 4 update, the official card-game site says more first-edition Dawn of Palpagos will ship in September, followed by a second edition in late October. The new printing has a small but important identifier: a Roman numeral II at the bottom right of every card. A restock headline alone will not tell you which edition you are buying.
September Stock and October Stock Are Not the Same Thing
The official reprint update describes two waves. Additional first-edition shipments come first. The second-edition shipment is scheduled for late October. It does not provide an exact day, a shipment quantity, or a promise that every store receives stock at the same time.
That gives collectors a more useful question than “Is Palworld back in stock?” Ask which edition the store expects, whether the listing describes confirmed stock or a preorder, and when that specific retailer expects to dispatch it. A publisher's shipment window and a customer's delivery estimate are related, but they are not identical.
Look for II at the Bottom Right
The publisher says every card in the second-edition reprint will have the II marker. This makes the corner of the card a practical identification check. It is a print distinction, not a new rarity symbol or a grade.
For an individual card listing, request a clear image of the actual front, including the bottom-right corner. A stock photo can illustrate the character without identifying the copy on sale. If a listing promises a particular edition, the title, description, and item photos should agree. For a sealed product, ask the seller to identify the edition explicitly rather than trying to infer its contents from a generic card photograph.
Dawn of Palpagos Remains the First Set
The official product page dates the original release to July 30, 2026 and lists 100 card types plus 61 parallel types. It introduced more than 50 kinds of Pals in the card game. The second edition is a reprint of Dawn of Palpagos, not the name of a new expansion.
That distinction also prevents confusion with Legends Awaken, which appears separately on the official product calendar with an October 30 release. Do not convert “late October” for a Dawn of Palpagos reprint into that exact date simply because another Palworld product has it.
What a Reprint Does Not Promise
More supply can give buyers more choices, but the announcement alone cannot tell us what any particular card will cost. First-edition demand, second-edition availability, card condition, and the seller's asking price are separate variables. None of them can be settled by the presence of a two-character mark.
For players, access to the cards they need may matter more than owning an earlier printing. For edition-focused collectors, the mark may become part of the checklist. Both approaches are coherent. The mistake is paying for an edition before establishing which one the listing actually offers.
