Pokémon 30th Celebration Pull Rates: A Hit Every 3 Packs, SIRs at 1 in 21

In TCGplayer's count of more than 3,000 Pokémon 30th Celebration booster packs, an Illustration Rare showed up in about 1 in 5 packs and a Special Illustration Rare in about 1 in 21, according to its September 24, 2026 pull-rate study. Those 30th Celebration pull rates are far friendlier than recent sets, by TCGplayer's numbers. Below are the full rates by rarity, how a second community count compares, what is in each pack, and which cards sell for the most.
Current as of October 4, 2026. These are sampled rates from opened packs, not official odds. The Pokémon Company does not publish pull rates.
30th Celebration Pull Rates by Rarity
TCGplayer's Authentication Center opened more than 3,000 packs to prepare for the set's September 16 release. The rates per pack, with TCGplayer's 95 percent confidence range:
Double Rare (any)
- 21.02% (± 1.21%), about 1 in 5 packs
- A specific Double Rare: about 1 in 57 by our math (21.02% split across the set's 12 Double Rares). TCGplayer's table says 1 in 48
Illustration Rare (any)
- 19.72% (± 1.37%), about 1 in 5 packs
- A specific Illustration Rare: about 1 in 91
Classic Collection (any)
- 10.15% (± 1.04%), about 1 in 10 packs
- A specific Classic Collection card: about 1 in 295
Special Illustration Rare (any)
- 4.88% (± 0.74%), about 1 in 21 packs
- A specific Special Illustration Rare: about 1 in 205
Futuristic Rare (any)
- 0.83% (± 0.31%), about 1 in 120 packs
- Two cards, Mew ex and Mewtwo ex, so a specific one is about 1 in 240
RGB Mew (red, green and blue versions)
- Unknown. "In our sample, we didn't find a single copy of a card at this rarity," TCGplayer's Peter Day wrote in the September 24 study

Two notes on reading these. The "1 in X" numbers are rounded, and TCGplayer calls them much less precise than the percentages. And the specific-card rates assume every card in a rarity is printed equally. Your own packs will vary.
How 30th Celebration Compares With Other Sets
TCGplayer says most Mega Evolution Series sets pull an Illustration Rare about 1 in 9 packs and a Special Illustration Rare about 1 in 80. In 30th Celebration those rates are 1 in 5 and 1 in 21.
Put together, TCGplayer says "you'll find a hit in roughly every three packs of 30th Celebration," compared with every five packs in other Mega Evolution sets, not counting the Pikachu card in every pack. It said the set looks to be the best pack-opening experience of any Pokémon set since at least Paldean Fates.
A second, community count points the same way. Wargamer reported on September 17 that Discord user Tommy13 recorded 4,063 English packs opened on livestreams. What that count actually saw:
- Double Rare: 1 per 4 packs
- Illustration Rare: 1 per 5.2 packs
- Classic Collection: 1 per 9.8 packs
- Special Illustration Rare: 1 per 18 packs
- Futuristic Rare: 1 per 99 packs
- RGB Mew: one in 4,063 packs, too few to set a rate. Tommy13 put its plausible rate anywhere from 1 in 718 to 1 in 23,016
Illustration Rares and Classic Collection cards line up almost exactly with TCGplayer. Special Illustration Rares and Futuristic Rares came a little more often on stream, but each count holds only a few dozen Futuristic Rares, so luck can explain that gap. The real outlier is Double Rares: one in every 4 streamed packs, well above TCGplayer's 21 percent.
What Is in a 30th Celebration Pack
Each booster has five foil cards, including one of 30 Pikachu cards, plus a foil Basic Energy, per The Pokémon Company's product lineup. The set released worldwide at the same time on September 16, 2026, with over 150 cards.
Where the hits land, per TCGplayer:
- Third card: a common, an Illustration Rare or a Classic Collection card
- Fourth card: the rare slot, which can become a Double Rare, a Special Illustration Rare, a Futuristic Rare or, very rarely, an RGB Mew
- Fifth card: always a Pikachu, one of 30 tracked in our 30th Celebration Pikachu cards guide
The Classic Collection is 30 reprints of famous cards from the past three decades, with gold borders and a 30th anniversary stamp, per TCGplayer. If you want those cards without relying on pull rates, the Ultra-Premium Collection: Day & Night (November 6) includes one Classic Collection booster pack with three Classic Collection cards, per The Pokémon Company. For how this set differs from the 25th anniversary release, see our Celebrations vs 30th Celebration comparison.
