Pokémon’s Halloween Tea Party Has Japan Dates, but the US Drop Is Still Unconfirmed

Pokémon’s Halloween collection is arriving before October, but the dates depend on where you shop. The September 4 Magic Hour Illusion announcement sets Japan’s online launch for September 10 at 10 a.m. JST and stores for September 12. The US Pokémon.com preview says the plush collection is coming soon, without giving that same launch date.
Japan Has a Calendar, the US Has a Preview
The Japanese announcement covers a broad collection of plush, accessories, stationery, and home goods. Its dates apply to Japan’s Pokémon Center channels. The US announcement previews Halloween plush and invites readers to watch for availability.
That distinction is the most useful shopping detail in the reveal. A Japanese release date is not proof of a synchronized US or UK drop. A listing from an importer is also not the same as local Pokémon Center stock. Check the country and seller before treating a screenshot as a launch alert.
The Characters Behind the Tea Party
Zorua and Zoroark give the collection its mischievous theme. Japan’s listed plush include Pikachu, Zoroark, Pawmi, and Polteageist. The international preview draws attention to Pikachu’s pancake styling and Crobat’s dressed-up appearance. The designs turn a familiar character collection into a seasonal display rather than another generic logo release.
Japan’s announcement lists the Pikachu plush at ¥3,960 and Zoroark at ¥5,500, including tax. These are Japanese list prices, not converted US retail prices or delivered import costs. The seller’s actual product page remains the place to check dimensions, materials, availability, and shipping.
For a collector, the first useful choice is the character, not the entire range. Decide whether you want one display piece or a coordinated shelf. A collection can be satisfying without becoming a checklist of everything in the announcement.

Avoid the Wrong Kind of Countdown
Save the correct regional announcement and the exact item name. Then make a note of your total budget, including delivery if you are considering an import. It is easy to compare a local list price with an overseas delivered price as though they describe the same purchase. They do not.
There is no verified sell-out forecast in these announcements. We are not calling a plush an investment or claiming that a preorder is the only chance to own it. The official Japanese notice warns that availability can differ by store and that details may change. Read the current page before acting.
If a social post gives a launch time, check whether it also identifies the country, time zone, and official source. Missing one of those details can turn a useful alert into a wasted wait. “Japan announced it” and “my local store has it” are different statements.
Where to Go From Here
This is merchandise news, not a new card set. The 30th Celebration guide covers the separate TCG anniversary calendar, while the Pikachu card tracker follows that card subset. Keep those purchases in separate budgets if both interest you.
If your favorite character sends you toward physical cards instead, the Polkastarter marketplace shows every Lootbox’s contents, values, and chances before opening, with a free mystery pack at signup. This Halloween merchandise is not being represented as marketplace inventory.
