Every week, we receive numerous questions from the Polkastarter community. To ensure our users have clear and accurate information about IDO processes, $POLS staking benefits, and sale mechanisms, we regularly address the most frequently asked questions.

Each week, we answer the most common question under the PolkaPoints section. We clarify the most in-demand topics from our community regarding staking rules, allocation systems, and sale processes. Here are this month’s top questions and answers:

1. What are the benefits of holding 50,000+ $POLS?

Answer: Users with 50,000+ $POLS Power gain guaranteed access to all sales, including both private and public rounds.

  • A 4-hour allocation window in the first phase of an IDO.
  • Higher allocation sizes compared to other tiers.
  • Exemption from the cooldown period.
  • Early access to better investment opportunities.

Users staking 50,000+ $POLS are rewarded with larger allocations and early investment advantages.

2. If I got allowlisted in the FCFS round, will I still enter a cooldown period?

Answer: The 7-day cooldown period starts the moment you allocate funds for an IDO. However:

  • If you were allowlisted but did not allocate funds, the cooldown does not apply.
  • If you stake 30,000+ $POLS, you can bypass the cooldown period.

This mechanism ensures fair participation in IDOs for all investors.

3. What is the minimum $POLS Power required to join sales?

Answer: To participate in Polkastarter sales, you need at least 1,000 POLS Power, which requires staking 1,000 POLS.

  • Users who stake 50,000+ $POLS receive a guaranteed allocation.
  • Higher staking levels provide better priority and larger allocations.

Planning your staking strategy is crucial for IDO participation.

4. I have $POLS in my wallet, but why is my POLS Power zero?

Answer: If your $POLS tokens are not staked, they do not contribute to POLS Power. To generate POLS Power, you must stake your $POLS tokens.

  • Once staked, your POLS Power will update within 6 hours, as snapshots are taken every 6 hours.
  • Unstaked $POLS tokens do not grant access to IDO allocations.

Completing the staking process increases your access to IDO opportunities.
