Topps Holiday Baseball Preorders Bring Back Hidden Elves and Add New Seasonal Parallels
Topps schedules 2026 Holiday Baseball preorders for September 21 at 12pm ET. The manufacturer describes a 200-card base set across Holiday Boxes, Collector's Tins and Advent Calendars, with seasonal content that differs by format. Official product page.
Hidden Elf cards are back, and new Metallic Gingerbread Man and Snow Days parallels add to the seasonal design choices. The product format matters as much as the Holiday name.
Hidden Elf Turns the Image Into Part of the Hunt
Topps describes five Hidden Elf variations for each of five players, moving a small elf to a different position in each image. This is a visual variation idea, not a published claim about how many copies of each card exist. Manufacturer's description.
That makes side-by-side identification useful. If a seller advertises a particular variation, inspect the image and any official identifier rather than accepting a broad Hidden Elf label as the complete card description.
The new parallel names also need to stay attached to the exact issue. A festive design or similar colour does not establish that two cards belong to the same parallel. Use the manufacturer's checklist linked on the release page when identifying the cards.
Holiday Boxes, Tins and Advent Calendars Are Different Purchases
The official overview names all three formats and says they deliver distinct collecting experiences through format-exclusive seasonal content. It does not justify treating every format as an identical assortment in a different container.
For a gift, decide whether the appeal is the packaging, a gradual opening experience or a particular type of card. Then read the exact listing. Do not borrow a box configuration or promised inclusion from a different format simply because both carry the Holiday branding.
The US calendar lists this as a preorder at 16:00 UTC. That is not a guarantee of immediate dispatch or delivery before a particular occasion.
Keep the Checklist Specific to the Year and Product
A previous Holiday checklist can be useful for historical comparison, but it should not fill missing details in the 2026 product. Confirm the year, parallel name and format for any card you plan to collect.
Topps' checklist directory is the central reference for manufacturer documents. A gallery of attractive cards is not automatically the complete checklist, and an autograph shown in promotion is not a promise of that autograph in every purchase.
