Three of the seven entries above happened in 2026, February, March, and July. The Junk-Wax Decades: What Your Cards Are Actually Worth

Now the section for everyone who kept the shoebox. The honest verdict on 1987 to 1993: the overwhelming majority of those cards are worth almost nothing raw, print runs were astronomical, and no grading service changes that. Value exists only in three places, gem-mint graded stars, the scarce Tiffany and O-Pee-Chee parallels, and famous errors. Raw copies are common, the grade is the value. The Topps Traded Griffey PSA 10 runs $165 to $190, its Tiffany version about $7,500.
• 1990: one legend and one oddity. The Frank Thomas No Name On Front error, the sole PSA 10, sold for a record $183,000 at Heritage in March 2026, with PSA 8s above $10,000 and even a PSA 5 at $21,000, while the normal Thomas rookie in PSA 10 is a $120 card, the whole difference is the missing name.
