Brewers Win First World Series: Card Prices for Milwaukee's Champions

The Milwaukee Brewers won the 2026 World Series on October 28, beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5 at Tropicana Field to take the series four games to one, per MLB.com. It is the first championship in franchise history. Catcher William Contreras was named World Series MVP, yet the highest sale we found for any of his cards is $580, while cards of Jacob Misiorowski and Jackson Chourio have sold for five figures.
How Milwaukee Won the Series
Game 1, October 23
- Brewers 3, Rays 2, Misiorowski the winning pitcher
Game 2, October 24
- Brewers 5, Rays 4
Game 3, October 26
- Brewers 10, Rays 1, the first of three games at Tropicana Field
Game 4, October 27
- Rays 4, Brewers 3 in 12 innings
Game 5, October 28
- Brewers 4, Rays 1, before 40,489 fans, per MLB Gameday. Misiorowski threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, until calf cramping ended his night, per MLB.com. Drew Rasmussen took the loss.
The Brewers won 103 regular-season games and went 11-2 in the postseason, 114 wins in all, per MLB.com. Milwaukee's last champion was the 1957 Braves. The Brewers' only previous World Series, in 1982, ended with a Game 7 loss to the Cardinals.
"I think any time you win a World Series, it changes a place a little bit," Christian Yelich said after Game 5, per MLB.com. The championship parade is Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. CT in downtown Milwaukee, per MLB.com.

William Contreras: $580
- 2018 Bowman Chrome prospect autograph Gold Refractor /50, PSA 10, sold in a PWCC Monthly auction on April 17, 2021, per Fanatics Collect's sales history
- A 2021 Bowman Sterling rookie autograph, PSA 10, sold for $520 on October 28, 2026, the day of Game 5
Our take: the MVP's market is the clear outlier. Contreras reached the majors in July 2020, so his cards never carried the prospect premium that Misiorowski's and Chourio's autographs did. His $520 Bowman Sterling sale on October 28 is already his best Fanatics Collect result since April 2021, so the title is showing up in his market, just at a much smaller scale.
