TCG Live’s Surging Sparks Event Offers Pikachu ex, but Four Wins Must Be in One Run

Pokémon TCG Live's Surging Sparks Build & Battle event offers a digital special illustration rare Pikachu ex for four wins in a single run. The September 15 announcement is specific about that requirement, not four wins scattered across unrelated attempts. Official reward announcement.

The event is scheduled through September 24, 2026. New entry closes earlier than the event itself, making the final-hour distinction worth saving now.

Save Both September 24 Deadlines

The official event schedule, updated September 15, lists the Surging Sparks window from September 15 at 17:00 UTC to September 24 at 17:00 UTC. The entry cutoff is September 24 at 16:00 UTC. Starting a new run and finishing an ongoing event therefore have different time boundaries.

Convert those UTC times to your own time zone before planning a final attempt. A reminder that only says September 24 is less useful than one that includes the earlier entry cutoff. Do not assume a regional midnight because the announcement uses a calendar date in its headline.

Daily Free Plays Do Not Become a Stored Pile

The current schedule grants a free play each day, while its general rule says free plays do not stack. A later free play is granted only after the previous one has been used. Read the current event terms.

In practical terms, inspect the event screen rather than counting days away and expecting that many attempts waiting. This is a rule of Pokémon TCG Live's event, not a statement about free packs on Polkastarter or about a physical retail promotion.

Keep the Reward Attached to the Run

Before playing, identify what the current run is and which reward its screen shows. Do not combine progress from separate attempts in a personal note and assume the game will do the same. The requirement is about performance within a run, not a lifetime win total.

Winning is not guaranteed. A free attempt makes the event accessible without that entry cost, but it does not turn participation into a guaranteed Pikachu reward. Choose to play because you enjoy the format as well as the card art.

This Pikachu Is Digital, and the Expansion Is Older

The event features Surging Sparks within the anniversary programme. It should not be mistaken for a newly revealed physical 30th Celebration Pikachu or a retailer gift. Our anniversary Pikachu tracker covers a different collecting question.

Keep TCG Live, physical Pokémon cards and other Pokémon apps separate when reading offers. A familiar card image can appear in different products, but the ownership and reward terms come from the named platform. Nothing in this event promises a card mailed to your home.

What Happens After This Window?

The schedule currently places Chaos Rising next, from September 24 to October 8, 2026. Check that event's own details when it arrives, rather than assuming the Surging Sparks reward carries over. A reused event format does not guarantee an identical prize.

For the broader physical release, keep the 30th Celebration hub bookmarked. It separates anniversary products from the game calendar.

Use the event screen to confirm your available entry and current run, then plan around the earlier cutoff if playing near the end.
