Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection: The Full Art Cut From Delta Reign

The Mega Rayquaza ex Premium Tournament Collection launches on February 12, 2027 with four foil promo cards and eight booster packs, per The Pokémon Company, and it is reported at $49.99 by ICv2. The headline promo is MEP 118, the full-art Mega Rayquaza ex that PokeGuardian and CBR report was cut from Delta Reign. Here is what is in the box, how it compares with the last two and what is still not confirmed.
What Comes in the Box
Pokémon's product page lists these contents:
Cards
- 1 foil promo card featuring Mega Rayquaza ex
- 3 foil promo cards featuring Zinnia's Trust, Adventure Lantern and Mega Rayquaza Cap
- 2 cards that form one Legendary Summit Stadium
Packs
- 8 Pokémon TCG booster packs
Accessories
- 65 card sleeves made by Dragon Shield, in a thematic box
- A deck box made by Dragon Shield
- 1 plastic Pokémon coin
- A code card for Pokémon TCG Live
Pokémon says it will be sold where Pokémon TCG products are sold, so it is not a Pokémon Center exclusive. That says nothing about how much stock each store gets. PokeGuardian calls the Dragon Shield gear a first, after decades of Ultra PRO, and PocketMonsters.net says the box was first listed for November 20, 2026.
How It Compares With Lillie and Iono
The closest comparison is the Lillie Premium Tournament Collection, the most recent box in the line we found, which launched on April 25, 2025 at $39.99, ICv2 reported on February 7, 2025. The Iono Premium Tournament Collection from April 5, 2024 used the same kit:
Price
- Lillie: $39.99
- Mega Rayquaza ex: $49.99 (reported)
Booster packs
- Iono and Lillie: 6
- Mega Rayquaza ex: 8
Price per pack
- Lillie: about $6.67
- Mega Rayquaza ex: about $6.25
Foil cards
- Iono: 4 Iono Supporter cards, one of them full art
- Lillie: Lillie's Clefairy ex plus 3 Lillie's Pearl Tool cards
- Mega Rayquaza ex: 4 foil promos, plus a two-card Stadium
Coin
- Iono and Lillie: a large metallic coin
- Mega Rayquaza ex: a plastic coin
Dice and markers
- Iono and Lillie: 6 damage dice and 2 coin condition markers
- Mega Rayquaza ex: none listed
So against Lillie you pay a reported $10 more for two extra packs and Dragon Shield gear, and you lose the dice, the markers and the metal coin. The per-pack price still drops, but bring your own dice.

The Promo Is Not the Delta Reign Chase
Two Mega Rayquaza ex cards are easy to mix up. On October 30, Pokémon previewed the Delta Reign Special Illustration Rare, by Kazuki Minami, grand prize winner of the Pokémon TCG Illustration Contest 2024. Delta Reign arrives on November 6, 2026 with over 135 cards.
The box promo is a different print of the same card. It is numbered MEP 118, illustrated by 5ban Graphics, and it carries the same 280 HP, Ruler's Roar Ability and Storm Emerald attack. So the difference is the art, not how it plays.
The product image also shows Legendary Summit numbered 096/103 and Adventure Lantern numbered 090/103 with the Delta Reign set code, so at least two of the other cards carry Delta Reign numbers.
What Is Still Not Confirmed
- Which booster packs: Pokémon's text says eight Pokémon TCG booster packs and names no sets. The product image shows Delta Reign wrappers on the four packs whose logos you can see, which is a hint, not a list
- The price: Pokémon's page lists none. $49.99 comes from trade reports, ICv2 on October 30 and PokeGuardian on October 29, while CBR said on October 30 that no pricing was available yet, so check before you pay
- Why the promo left the set: PokeGuardian and CBR report the cut, but we found no statement from Pokémon
Our take: if you want Mega Rayquaza for a binder, these are different buys. Minami's Special Illustration Rare is a Delta Reign pull, while MEP 118 comes in every box, so this is the sure route to that full art, as long as you can find it near the reported $49.99. Our Delta Reign page covers the set, our most valuable Rayquaza cards guide covers the top of the market, and our Pokémon TCG release dates guide tracks what else is coming.
